Norris Screen is proud to have manufactured and installed
a Coanda Intake on an award winning project.
The Consulting Engineers of British Columbia awarded
Knight Piésold Consulting a 2005 Award of Excellence
for McNair Creek Green Power project.
Norris worked with the contractor Peter Kiewit &
sons, and the engineers at Knight Piésold Consulting
on final intake design. The Coanda Intake was installed
in October 2004 under Norris supervision. The Coanda
effect screens are self cleaning and eliminate sediment
inclusion. The 9MW McNair hydropower installation is
located near Gibsons B.C. on the Sunshine Coast north
of Vancouver.
